I support local football and am baffled by the plan to fine the bottom two S-League clubs next season. As it is, clubs are striving to stay in the black for the season.
The bottom two clubs should at least get the chance to avoid the fine if they attain a minimum number of points at the end of the season. That would be fairer.
I would add that the S-League chief executive and his senior executives should not get any bonuses if they cannot achieve an average attendance of 1,500 fans per game next season.
