Nine South Korean tourists injured in traffic accident

Taipei, Feb. 15 (CNA) Nine South Korean tourists were injured when their minibus was hit by a car and overturned in Taipei, police said Monday.
Firefighters said they received reports around 3 p.m. of a traffic accident on Mingshui Road in front of the Martyrs' Shrine near the Grand Hotel, and they found the minibus lying in the middle of the road when they arrived on the scene.
Nine South Korean tourists were injured but were conscious when they were helped at the site of the accident and rushed to nearby hospitals.
According to an initial investigation by the police, a man lost control of his car when making a turn and smashed into the minibus head-on.
The minibus, with 12 people aboard, overturned and hit a nearby taxi.
Police are still investigating the case to determine the exact cause of the accident, they said.
