Hi bro, if u have read my posts for other threads, u will know that I'm definitely not a pap supporter and in fact had highlighted their lies, negligence, irresponsibilities and hypocrisy etc. But to be fair to Ng Eng Hen, he is indeed the rare few (the other being Shanmugam) who actually earn a much higher pay when he was in the private sector. I just want to demonstrate that this forum can be objective and not blindlessly bias as the PAP would say us to be.

The whole problem with LKY's salary formulation is that all the rest of the cabinet of PAP parliamentarians were not getting more pay outside and so there's no sacrifice that the PAP or even Gerald Ee is talking about. You can easily pick up the Wong Kan Sengs, Mah Bow Tans, Lim Swee Says, Josephine Teos, not to mention Nathan, who had never earn such big fat salary or would never earn such out-of-the-world salary if they step into the private sector. Even with the proposed salary cut, these useless idiots would still be earning much more than if they are not in parliament.

Money or not, NEH is in for PAP-style work. I don't know how good a surgeon he was but he seems to be too PAP for his own good. And as i implyed in the first post, he's having it lucky. No MP concentrates on Defence matters. if there's any, it's always just about NS matters and nothing else. No one questions the Defence Budget, scholar-generals, our over-kill of weaponry (what the heck are we doing with so many MBTs and six frigates which hard see action?), the silly Military Expert rank, the silly Senior LTC rank, the retirement of officers at such young ages. So Ng really has it easy.

Yup, absolutely agree. As my friend who runs a recruitment company for senior executives always tell me, one look at their photos, he would not shortlist them for interview. And even in a desperate situation for hires that they do get call up for interviews, they will not get past the first question once they open their mouths. For people like Lim Swee Say and Seng Han Thong even driving taxis would be a big hurdle for them as the tourists or S'poreans who can only speak English would have difficulties making out what these 2 clowns are saying in English. A lot of taxi uncles I know speak much better English than these 2 useless bums.

Good points, I agree. I was only pointing out that he's one (out of a very rare few) who did get higher pay outside the PAP but LKY in justifying his salary formulation put it across as if all of them are in Ng EH shoes, which all we know is definitely not the case.

One thing to also note is that he doesn't complain like Grace Fu and the others. NEH doesn't have a facebook account (even LHL supposedly has one). He just follows orders. And as i said, gets the easiest job of all.

• no combat loading
• no accessorizing options ie: forward hand grip, torchlight etc
• cannot have combo magazine links
• scope doesnt have mm markers
• switch from semi auto to auto is in the butt

as listed above, its obvious the sar21 wasnt designed for FIBUA. the idiot who designed the sar21 is probably an idiot who's never been thru NS.
