Why not?

USA is so weak and coward chicken.

Alaska is originally Russian sovereignty for a very long time in history, and Americans only spent tiny negligible amount of money to Purchase Alaska from Russia. Putin should by blood and force Revoke this sales and reclaim Sovereignty of Alaska from USA, just like he did Crimea.

Alaska Purchase
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The US$ 7.2 million check used to pay for Alaska ($119 million in 2014 dollars)[1]

The Alaska Purchase was the acquisition of Russian America by the United States from the Russian Empire in the year 1867 by a treaty ratified by the U.S. Senate.

Russia wanted to sell its Alaskan territory, fearing that it might be seized if war broke out with Britain. Russia's primary activity in the territory had been fur trade and missionary work among the Native Alaskans. With the purchase of Alaska, the United States added 586,412 square miles (1,518,800 km2) of new territory. Reactions to the purchase in the United States were mixed, with opponents calling it "Seward's Folly", feeling that U.S. Secretary of State William H. Seward, the primary American negotiator, got the worst of the bargain.

Originally organized as the Department of Alaska, the area was renamed the District of Alaska and the Alaska Territory before becoming the modern state of Alaska upon being admitted to the Union as a state in 1959.

Americans are afraid of war and death, weak pale coward and bankrupt. No balls nor strength to fight, a dummy paper tiger. No real friends and no strong allies. No match against Russia. Easy for Russia to take out eyeballs and break limbs of USA. Many enemies of USA will take opportunity to side with Russia. Arabs, Latin America, PRC, with feuds or serious conflicts of interest will surely do. Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela etc etc. Opportunistic India, Pakistan etc will switch side.

US friends are all bankrupt and ill, and also very coward. They will chicken out just like they did in Ukraine Crimea case.

Once Putin smoke up USA cities and had hundreds of millions of civilian casualties, US military will be unable to even cope with rescuing their own. Surely have to give up Alaska and surrender and remain under Putin's feet forever.

:D

Alaska has plenty oil and gas let alone other precious resources, USA cheated the Russian Tsar in the cheap deal purchase, time for Putin to reclaim and annex Alaska sovereignty for national pride and interest. His men are brave and willing to war.

Russia says JPMorgan 'illegally' blocked embassy money transfer

(Reuters) - Russia accused U.S. bank JPMorgan (JPM.N) on Tuesday of "illegally" blocking a payment from one of its embassies to an insurance agency "under the pretext of anti-Russian sanctions."

In a statement on its website, the Russian Foreign Ministry suggested the action, which it called "unacceptable, illegal and absurd," would have consequences for the U.S. embassy and consulate in Russia.

One of the highest profile confrontations yet over U.S. sanctions, the move may increase tensions between Washington and Moscow and add to U.S. companies' nervousness over doing business in Russia.

"Washington should understand any hostile action against a Russian diplomatic mission not only constitutes a flagrant violation of international law but is rife with consequences that will inevitably effect the work of the embassy and general consulate of the United States in Russia," Russia's statement said.

The bank said later in its own statement that it is subject to government regulations and that it "will continue to seek guidance from the U.S. government on implementing their recent sanctions."

The payment came from Russia's embassy in Kazakhstan to Russian insurance agency Sogaz, which is partly owned by Abros, according to the Sogaz website. Abros is a subsidiary of Bank Rossiya, according to Russian media reports, which is facing U.S. sanctions.

Bank Rossiya was blacklisted by the White House last month as part of a widening effort to punish Russian President Vladimir Putin's inner circle over Moscow's role in the Ukraine crisis.

Industry consultants in Moscow have said financial institutions are unclear about how to apply the new rules in some situations, such as when dealing with subsidiaries of companies which have either been sanctioned or which have shareholders that have been punished.

"There is a lot of confusion ... as to what might be the full scope of the sanctions and what we are hearing is while the sanctions are specific, a lot of U.S. companies are adopting a much more risk-averse or cautious approach," said Chris Weafer, partner at Macro Advisory.

"There is almost self-sanctioning going on."

Visa (V.N) and Mastercard (MA.N) briefly cut off services for clients at Russia's SMP bank, whose main shareholders were affected by U.S. sanctions, before resuming them shortly thereafter.

"The general rule is that if a company is controlled ... by an individual on the list, they can't do business with that company," one financial consultant said last week, speaking on condition of anonymity.

"But it's quite a slippery slope regarding the whole holding structure," the source said.

Russia's accusation could damage relations the bank has with the country. JPMorgan generated $55.6 million in investment banking fees in Russia last year, with a 7 percent market share. Worldwide, JPMorgan recorded $6.4 billion in investment banking fees last year, according to the company's annual report.

JPMorgan is the biggest U.S. bank by assets and for its size it does relatively little lending in Russia. At year-end, its loans and trading positions at risk to Russia totaled $5.4 billion compared with the company's total assets of $2.4 trillion.

JPMorgan is one of a number of Western banks operating in Russia. Others which have a presence here include Goldman Sachs (GS.N), Bank of America (BAC.N), Citigroup (C.N) and Morgan Stanley (MS.N).

If a war breaks out between Russia and USA, it is very likely that most of the Ruskie soldiers would defect and run over to join the Yanks. But assuming, for the sake of conversation that Russian armed forces wipe out and beat the shit out of Uncle Sam's troops, the Russian soldiers would have to occupy and contain the US mainland and deal with their street gangs, the mafia, Hell's Angels, and a whole bunch of trigger-happy gun-toting militant gung-ho Rambo inspired morons. Would love to see any foreign power try that.

Cheers!

I have to keep repeating that USA will not go to war for Ukraine and Americans voted Obama for the same reason. :D

After Vietnam, US is extremely reluctant to get into any kind of conflict, not from fear of other countries, but internal resistance. In Iraq and Afghan situations, the yankee pres chose his words very carefully and went through exteme care to assure his political correctness in giving the go ahead. It is not easy to be the world's "policeman" (more for corporate interests) while assuring one's citizen's lives are not endangered. Well, that what the US pres' job is. Me, not bothered one bit, it's his problem.

Cheers!

Reluctant yes, but it will be helplessly forced into war this way.

What is so attractive about USA to Russian troops? So few immigrants had moved to USA from Russia, a stronger military and economic power. USA is bankrupt drowning in full house of shit crisis in every way. Can not withstand a few plane crashed on 911. So corrupted filled by crimes and social racial problems besides economic crisis.

USA has no economic strength to play sanction games with Russia today, and worsening very much by each day. A bankrupt trying to strangle a wealthy man with money, that is a joke. Who are the effective economic powers loyal behind USA is this game? Only dead desperate like miniature SG will comply with USA, and have no significant.

Iran, NK, Myanmar etc are all doing strong and well after decades of US imposed sanctions, Russia will only revert to superior advantage and USA itself & silly friends like SG further deeply hurt by this economic game.

It is a very pathetic scene as disappointed world continued to fat hope that civilized economic measures could work to maintain world order or modify behavior of some countries. Only bloodshed war can expect some effects when the forces are sufficiently strong. Such as the case of Libya. Decades of economic measures did not work. NATO bombings did not work either. Only a civil war changed something significantly, but also no yield to anything close to the intended healthy out come. The country is in a state not better than Iraq now.

Russia's prime minister promised to pour funds into Crimea during a surprise visit to the annexed peninsula today as the government looks to tighten their grip on the region.

Dimitry Medvedev pledged to give funds to improve power supplies, water lines and education while residents captured trains loaded with Russian military equipment travelling towards the capital Simferopol.

Leading a delegation of Cabinet ministers on a surprise visit, Medvedev also said he would quickly boost salaries and pensions.

Despite the show of political strength, Russian troops were pulled back from the border with Ukraine amid signs the Kremlin is being stung by Western sanctions.

Russia is a big country with a long history and many accomplishments. It's people are proud and patriotic too, however it rates low on human and individual rights which to some people are very important. I don't pay attention to Russian history but I remember in our lifetimes, there have been cases of Russian defectors, to USA, one was a famous ballerina, another was a pilot who flew out a highly secret MiG-25 and landed in Japan. If you can, try to rent the movie Moscow on The Hudson. Robin Williams plays a Russian circus musician who defected whilst the troupe was on tour in New York, quite a funny comedy.

The US did survive the 911 plane crashes. In fact, New York mayor Guliano took advantage of that disaster and turned it into his political ace card and emerged more popular. Security companies beenfitted most from that event. What prompts you to say US could not withstand those few plane crashes? Enlighten me.

Crimes and social problems? Now, which country doesn't have these? The way things are the only country without these is North Korea since none were reported anyway.

Cheers!

As seen in Afghanistan war. Loser Americans defected to join Talibans. See Youtuve for American Taliban. No Talian defected to join Aerican troops.

Losers defects towards winners.

Alaska is loaded rich of precious valuable natural resources. Putin gets his hands on that Russia will easily become superpower #1.

A top Russian official has accused the US of "childish tantrums" in its response to the annexation of Crimea, and suggested that American politicians practise yoga and watch sitcoms to help chill out.

"Clearly, the US leadership is really annoyed, and cannot come to terms with the new situation, which has arisen in large part due to the deliberate line taken by the US and its allies in Europe to prepare anti-Russian forces to take power in Ukraine," said deputy foreign minister, Sergei Ryabkov, in an interview with Interfax.

"Trying to demonstrate how unhappy it is with the exercise of free will by the population of Crimea and the decisions we took related to it, Washington is ruining contacts even in places where continuing dialogue is in their own interests."

In addition to sanctions against a number of businessmen and politicians considered to be close to the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, the US has responded with other measures, including cancelling all co-operation between Nasa and the Russian space agency, except for joint work on the International Space Station.

"The situation is turning into a joke when, for example, meetings between meteorologists are cancelled," said Ryabkov.

"What can we advise our American colleagues? They should get more fresh air, do yoga, eat healthily, maybe watch some sitcoms on television.

"This is better than getting themselves and others all worked up when they know very well that the train has already departed and that childish tantrums, tears and hysterics will not help things."
