Many tuckshops now resemble foodcourts in terms of variety and offer meals at student-friendly prices of no more than $3.

First, the lost pet dog Xiao Hei, now an article on school canteen food?

Either it is a slow news day, or there's an elaborate conspiracy to numb readers' minds with drivel.

There are some factory canteen that sell food at $2 but school going to sell at $3?

and the cost of raising a child continually increases!

whatever happened to 50 cent noodle soup in the 80s/90s?

Not forgetting school canteen has very low rental, unless the school is trying to make money nowadays. Could it be some organisation trying to takeover the school canteen business?

No more than $3, means your kid's pocket money need to increase wor. No more $2 per day.

Some of the kids in my nephew's school are getting $30 a day. Dun ask me why. The kid end up buying his friends drinks and meals. Sometimes even movies. There is one had never been to a hawker or even food court. The first time was with my nephew to the food court. He sat there waiting for a while and asked, "where is the waiter?".
