The words "ethical" and "sales" should not be in the same sentence

Later he can get himself some dry water to drink.

Ethics is incompatible with a commission-based sales job.

Hey people, please don't think sales is a dirty or unethical job la. I take this quite personally because all my life I am in sales. I will not hesitate to sack any sales people who lie to customers or do not keep promises to customers even if it is at a lost to the company. Of course having said that I do have questions about salesmen from industries like - electronics (Funan and Sim Lim comes to mind) ; insurance ; property ; MLM etc.

I am a believer that sales can be a professional career if one is truthful and sincere but most importantly one has to FIRST believe in the products he sells. This is the reason why we pay high salaries to my sales people instead of commissions.

ha ha ha ha I can't stop, I have not met a salesperson who doesn't lie, they do it even without blinking their eyes, it the question of how big the lie is!

It is impossible not to lie in Sales... oh well i guess a salesperson will always try to get you to see his point of view why you should purchase his company's product, the onus is on yourself to figure out if a competitor's product is better value for money. I suppose it is too much to say all salesmen are dishonest... perhaps we could say he presents you a "skewed" picture to his own benefit most of the time.

Having said that... ironically... the most honest salesperson i've ever met is the guy who sold me my car... who remains true to his after sales service till this day.
