Floating on a huge polystyrene foam, a man tried to paddle from Penang Island to Butterworth
(Penang News, 3rd) Self-made polystyrene foam "Big Boat", a man want to row from Penang Island to Butterworth to find friends!
The patrol boat of the North Malaysia Marine Police Operation Force Division 1 was patrolling at 5 o'clock in the afternoon yesterday. On the sea outside the Batu Uman Marine Police Base, a man was found lying on a huge polystyrene foam floating in the sea.
The marine police rescued the man and handed it over to the police who arrived at the base for investigation.
The drenched man, wearing a sarong, was not injured at the time, and was later taken back to the police station for investigation.
It is known that the man jumped into the sea near the Pengkalan Weld at the beginning of last month and said that he wanted to swim across the Butterworth to find friends.
It is understood that when he was questioned by the police after he was rescued ashore yesterday, he said he wanted to take a "boat" to Butterworth to find friends.
