Netizens slam model for racy shower gel ad

Chinese netizens have slammed a popular model for a racy shower gel TV advertisement.

Popular Chinese video sharing website Youku featuring the near-naked Japanese-Taiwanese singer and actress Makiyo advertising a shower gel product wearing only bath foam.

The video attracted over 750k views within a day of being uploaded.

Netizens chastised her saying that she agreed to do the TV commercial because she was desperate for attention.

One netizen even said: "I would've immediately smashed my computer if I were her father!"

Another netizen was disappointed with the way many new celebrities are willing to expose themselves and 'selling their bodies' to become famous.

Makiyo was born in Yokohama, Japan and her father is Japanese while her mother is Taiwanese. She was reportedly paid two million yuan (S$402,400) to do the TV commercial.

Similar publicity stunts have happened in China and Hong Kong - models were seen undressing and getting ready to go to work while riding the subways during peak hour.

There is nothing wrong with the forum. It parses whatever html code is pasted. The problem lies in the fact that almost 2 decades on, most twits don't even know the basics of how web pages work.
