Netball doesn't help to lose weight?

SITTING in Nur Amelia Omar Abdullah's cupboard is a eight-year-old netball which has seen better days.

It's once bright yellow sheen has long since faded, giving way to peels across the surface of the ball.

But it still retains a special place in the 16-year-old's heart, because it was the first netball she ever got.

The Singapore Sports School (SSP) student is now a national Under-17 netballer who has won B and C Division titles for three years running.
So how did she go from fumbling catches to zipping up and down the court in Singapore colours?
