Puzzled by rotten-root remark

I AM puzzled by the National Parks Board's remark that the rotten root of a tree outside the Istana went undetected because it was underground ("Rotten root caused tree to topple at Istana", last Friday). Surely, most roots are located underground.
It is very fortunate that only one person was injured as that area is usually crowded with pedestrians.

just like one learned one from NFark told me that the weeds growing at the side of the building have to be removed...I told him, mimosa is a rare find these days... and he says weeds are weeds... :p

So...they pretend that trees have roots...Unfortunately the tree did not fall on thambi....oyi!

Now, if the habitants have no roots, surely the plants and trees don't have roots...heh heh...so the discovery that the trees hve roots is startling...

Ha ha ha.........Maybe they think root grow on top of the tree.
Always give stupid reason for tai chi. Fallen tree is quite normal. Maybe NEA should replace rain tree to other tree with wide branch smaller leaf which is more stable when rain or heavy wind.
