Sightings of large rats at various parts of their homes have caused a commotion among residents in Toa Payoh Lorong 5, Block 64.
According to Lianhe Wanbao, residents are troubled by the increasing frequency of the appearance of these rodents.
The fat-looking rats are said to have chewed on wires, eaten bread, hidden in shoes and even scurried past people's feet.
One resident even found a dead rat in her toilet bowl recently.
A 30-year-old tuition teacher said that things first started with one or two rats running in the drains outside residential homes, but the situation is getting worse.
