Native Singaporeans are getting too smart for the PAP
August 26th, 2010 | Author: Contributions

Singaporeans are too arrogant and naive to think that the main reason for the massive influx of Chinese PRC and Indians into Singapore is to artificially inflate the GDP and thus allowing the PAP ministers to get salary bonuses.

This may be true — but I do not think it is the main reason for the influx. For one thing, PAP ministers are already very rich and are millionaires. What do rich men want? More money? Maybe. But I do not think more money is what they really want. The answer is that rich men want POWER, and MORE POWER.

There are very clear signs that Singaporeans — even though they are “third class citizens”, “slow and expensive” and “daft” (as labelled by PAP) — are beginning to realize that decades of voting in PAP is actually ruining the future of themselves and their children and future generations.

PAP knows this, and is very aware that the current set of voters (i.e., native Singaporean citizens) will no longer sustain PAP’s power base.

Thus, the influx of the Chinese PRC and Indians is to make up, and offset the loss of votes to PAP in the coming elections.

If the conditions of daily living for native Singaporean citizens are made so negative that they have no choice but to leave Singapore and migrate to true first world nations like the U.S., Canada, U.K. and Australia, then it will be easier for PAP to replace them with compliant Chinese PRC and Indians who will vote PAP for life.

There is also a reason why Chinese PRC immigrants are targeted by PAP. The Chinese are used to authoritarian governments and care only about money. This makes a lot of sense for the PAP to bring them in, because they will not question PAP’s iron fist policies.

It is all bad news.

Personally, my view is that the next one or two general elections are the only realistic window of opportunity for native Singaporean citizens to vote out PAP. Once this window of opportunity closes, there will be absolutely no way for native Singaporean citizens to vote PAP out, even if they want to — because the numbers of new Singapore citizens from the current influx of PRs will vastly outnumber the number of current native Singaporean citizens.

This is not a pure speculation but mathematical certainty. Don’t forget, the Chinese PRCs and Indians multiply much much faster than the native Singaporean citizens, and they are very aware of the negative attitude among native Singaporean citizens towards them. Don’t be surprise if they become citizens and retaliate.

It is all tragic. But I have no sympathy whatsoever for the native Singaporeans — because it is the native Singaporeans who brought this tragic situation onto themselves by being KS and overly-practical and voting PAP in decade after decade.

In the end, you only have yourself to blame.

If the PAP is voted OUT, who is going to be voted IN?

Good question!!

I know it's a good question. What I'm looking for is a good answer.

The problem with many sinkies is that they bang away on their keyboards without first putting their brains into gear.

How about causing a split in PAP?
Get their best over to the opposition? :D

If the PAP is voted OUT, who is going to be voted IN?

Irrelevant question.

Even if Singaporeans vote in all opposition candidates, the PAP will still form the government. The important thing is to send PAP a strong message by denying the PAP 75% majority of parliament.

75% is still too high.

If they only have 65%, they can't pass bills in the parliaments :D

The best is a hung parliament, where PAP have no choice but to squeeze their own balls to make deals with smaller party in order to pass law.

Not likely to happen since PAP hire more than half the Sinkies
Maybe in 50 years when GMS is a stack of bones

:D

Sporeans must first face the fact that there is a problem with the PAP. After they "fix" the problem by getting them out of parliament, there are many wannabe LKYs out there :)

There's alot of deadwood in the Spore gov't e.g. wooden, our PM, Madam Ho,..... If you get rid of all of those multi-millionaires, Spore only needs only few people honest people in the gov't. Certainly can't do worse than having so many overpaid "yes men/women" led by an old senile leader

There are many capable & honest bureaucrats out there, many who will be willing to work cheaply for such as $100,000 a year.

The answer is, however we hate the PAP, removing them will create a vacum, in which no oppositions in SINgapore can fill. The only way, is to slowly introduce opposition members into parliament, to maintain a check & balances.

one must have the control of the military...

since grunts are unwilling ns men and top commanders are all licking their master's hand, the sg military will have no balls for a coup nor teeth for mutiny. for any 3rd world coup, you need sizable professional land forces commanded by disgruntled, disenchanted, disenfranchised, disengaged and disconnected "young turks".

wrong, the only thing that can't be filled is the deep debts that the cuntry is running into; when they lose investments abroad by the billions, organize combined school sports meet spending millions, organize night races in the city that hasn't seen the return on investments since the 1st night race.

unseating them in parliament is a lesser vacuum compared to the means they need to put in place to suck the ppl's $ & blood.

checks and balances are more presidential system when legislative and executive branches are separate powers.
we gave pap a majority in parliament, even if we have 30 oppo mps, pap still have full powers to do what they want for next 5 years.
more oppo can present stronger debates against govt's policies and legislation in house but that's all.

what I mean is parliament system no real check and balances, if pap no good, better vote them out of govt.
