President Nathan said he browses books for ideas and does not just take the staff members' drafts wholesale, as he finds his staff members' drafts wholesale, as he finds the drafts to be frequently "really plain" and without punchlines.

Showing his sense of humour, Mr Nathan also made a dig about the use of press releases. "We are used to handouts. Every ministry gives you a handout written in a particular way, wanting you to reproduce in a particular way, with the right adjectives and what have you...the handout is a disaster.
