Naked woman plunges to her death

BY JASTIN AHMAD TARMIZI AND AUSTIN CAMOENS

PETALING JAYA: The body of a 28-year-old naked woman was found at the bottom of a condominium at Damansara Intan here.

The woman was believed to have fallen to her death from the seventeenth floor of the condominium block at 5.23am Wednesday.

Condominium maintenance supervisor Zulkifli Yahya said he was alerted of the incident by staff of a 7-Eleven outlet located in the condominium.

It is learnt that one of its staff members witnessed the woman falling to her death.

“We are not sure if the woman is a resident here as we were unable to identify her. Her face was badly injured in the fall,” Zulkifli said.

He added that CCTV footage showed that the woman fell at 5.23am.

When contacted, Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed confirmed the case.

“We have classified the case as sudden death, but we have to investigate how it happened. So far, there is no evidence of any criminal element,” he said, adding that the woman was from Johor.

“We believe that she was visiting a friend as she is not a resident in the condominium,” said ACP Arjunaidi, adding that statements were being taken from the residents of the condominium.

ACP Arjunaidi added the body was sent to University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) for a post-mortem.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the police at 03-20529999 or visit the nearest police station.
