War with N.Korea will be a fist strike scenario, US will have to be accurate on their judgement and call the shot to protect not only S Korea but their own GI there, IF N Korea draw first blood and rain Nuke down into south it will be like 10 Fukushima, radiation and contamination all over S Korea follow by counter strike from US returning the favor, the whole Korean peninsula will be gone case with nuclear fallout affecting China, Russia, Japan Taiwan.

A first strike from US will have a good chance of crippling North's Nuclear arsenal and clean up the rest later.

Its just the usual escalation/de-escalation cycle. I suspect the US will be bringing in more classy weaponry in the near future to match North Korea's rhetoric. NK will also carry out addition missile tests.

Ultimate goal of NK is to force parties to the negotiation table. There are still no signs NK is actually gearing for a real war.

The Koreans as East Asians are unlike the Arabs who could not fight which the Americans have a fairly easy time. Look at Iraq.

Thus both the Nkoreans and US should stop their provocations and let cool heads prevail. A war can only destroy the whole of both koreas and American lives will be lost considerably as well. In fact, South Korea should not let themselves and their own country dragged into a bravado attempt by the US B-52 bombers as they would be the first to be destroyed if the Nkoreans are provoke into some crazy actions.

A frist strike will happen when their analysts and intel show war is imminent, like fuelling of rockets from the North, it will be a difficult but decisive decision with no turning back.
It will be a overwhelming nuke strike to ensure the North are knock out in the first punch.
And it is precisely because of saving their GI that this decision must be taken.

Currently the escalation and crazy talk are just probing only.
When first strike happen, we will only read about it after it happen.

Clearly taking inspiration from his previous works "Everything on Fire" and "Nuclear Apocalypse," director/dictator Kim Jong Un's new propaganda film is sure to be another international sensation. Flush with flag-waving jingoism, the DPRK's new flick depicts troops springing across the DMZ into South Korea with guns blazing and tanks spitting fire. This is—although it's a bit early to tell—the North's first propaganda video in some time that doesn't contain plagiarisms of any American videogames.

NKNews provides a translation of the video's message, which outlines how the DPRK's invasion will go down:

The First Day

On the first day, once the order is given, the North Korean people's army will fire 240mm MRL (Multiple Rocket Launcher), 250,000 Medium/ long-range ballistic missile, and 1000 SSM (Surface-to-surface missile) for the first 30 minutes toward South Korea and the U.S. combined bases, like a shower from the heavens. We will launch a preemptive attack by surprise with hit-and-run raids. Meanwhile, 50,000 Special Forces infantryman will make a surprise attack to South Korea and the U.S combined air force base, naval base , missile bases and other power plant. North Korea's special forces will enter Seoul and take 150,000 Americans living in South Korea as prisoners of war, which will be a decisive blow. We will attack Air forces with missiles and bombs. South Korea and America's combined air forces will be in a panic, without even one plane having taken off.

The Second Day: North Korea army's powered offensive

10,500 North Korean air force paratroopers will drop from a 80 m high altitude.
Meanwhile, 4600 tanks and 3000 armored cars will head to South Korea.
Our infantry troops will approach South Korea's city and sweet them out.
Of course, right after the War has began, we will strike the U.S.'s pacific ocean's bases first and wipe them out.

The Last Day (The Third Day)

South Koreans including from Seoul and other cities will be in a state of confusion without any food supply, water supply, communications network, and traffic network.
On the last day of war, there will be no battle but North Korea army will occupy South Korea and make a stability operations such as restoring provision systems in South Korea.
Like this, we have a Unification War scenario that will be finished in just 3 days. Even though the U.S. keeps practicing the invasion of North Korea War scenario with computer simulations, they are trembling with fear and can't open the scenario to the public.

Looks like everything will work out great! The entire conflict will be finished in just three days, presumably led by Kim Jong Un astride a unicorn, touting his "Sexiest Man Alive" award. No worries, comrades!

The NK wont fight,,they are just trying to squeeze more benefits from the USA and SK. If a real war happens,,the USA will blow NK back to the stone age. I believe the Yanks have already targeted all vulnerable targets in NK, China and Russia.

Yes, show will commence when one party perceives an imminent threat to its existence. Intel will be heavily relied upon to provide accurate and timely intelligence. Assessment of intel reports will be vital to avoid miscalculation of intent.

It is quite naive to think the US can bomb the crazy NKoreans back to the stone age without any reprisal from them. South Korea will be totally destroyed as well, including US bases. Remember the Skorean military are conscripted army and heavily depended on the US for support. The US will not be able to strike China and Russia without expecting a huge fiery response from both nuclear-armed countries that may spell the end of American military in the Far east. This is not a hollywood bravo movie. A strike by the US to force a regime change is also not a straight-away easy as Nkoreans are not Arabs who did not fight at all and with a China at its doorstep.

It is unwise to base the conflict in the Middle East ( easy US victory) on East Asia and Asians.

Unless cool heads prevails, any war , God forbid will be the end of both Koreas, with a bloodied US and the whole of Asia in tatters.

The US will use the opportunity to strengthen their presence in the region which can be used as a check on China's territorial claims in the region. The NK claim of being able to hit far-out places is bordering of ludicrous. The US is not at risk, and has much to gain by the escalation/de-escalation cycle at play here.

Sooner or later though, the US will try to have some form of accommodation with NK in the same way that they must eventually reach some kind of accommodation with Iran. The hidden danger is Russia which the US must always keep a watchful eye on.

Yes, this is the most plausible scenario.

The US will unleashed a surgical strike on Nkorean missile and military installation and will seek to finished the whole NKorean leadership. Already Nkorean has responded with fury when the US mentioned Osama type raid on Nkorea. This show they are very aware how the US will respond should a war breaks out in the Korean peninsula and I guess they are extremely well-prepared for this scenario and even the US cannot pinpoint where the actual missiles are kept ( unlike the Arabs who often trumpet everything to the world)

The most important thing is that a war in the two Koreas will spell the possible end of Nkorea but it will also spell the immediate death of South Korea. The US cannot possibly act bravo to kill off the Nkoreans but letting its ally South Korea destroyed completely. Imagine Seoul with its modern skycrapers and economy ended up flattened and millions of people killed. There would be chaos to the world as well. It will be suicidal for Skorea as well as the US besides the crazy Nkoreans . Moreover, I doubt the Russians and Chinese would stood and watched while the US is at their doorstep knowing very sure the issue here is also America's creeping strategy to crave its Asian pivot and thwart China and Russian power in the Far East. There were no super powers next door of the Arab countries that the US invaded .
Already the Russian foreign minister gave a veil warning to the US on its B-52 bombers which China and Russian see as targeting them than the Nkoreans.

I shared the same thoughts that the Nkoreans even if attacked by the US will start a propaganda that it is their "invincible" military who fought the mighty US army to a standstill. I don't think the US or the conscripted Skorean military would want to have a land invasion of Nkorea and air attack can only work to a limited solution. In this case, just having air strike would give the Nkorean counter attack that could hurt Skorea even more. The Nkoreans have thousands of fighter jets (Mig-19 and 21) who could overwhelmed the US air force even if they are out-dated and old besides the hundred of thousands of artllery rockets and short range missiles. Air strike could not possibly destroy all of them.

Thus, all powers in this issue are well aware that any military conflict will not be to anyone benefit, not even to the US. Only naive observer will quickly dismissed the end of Nkorea without understanding that Skorea will be the first dead as well. Cool heads need to prevail as war will mean Asia will be in tatters aftermath.
