Nee Soon GRC MP Lee Bee Wah's family has been looking for the mongrel known as Xiao Hei, or Blackie, for the past four days. She has also been regularly updating her Facebook page, appealing for people to contact her should they spot the dog.
Here is Ms Lee's Facebook post, dated May 4, 2013:
Xiao Hei (alias Blackie) used to wonder about at the void deck at Khatib. One fine day, somebody complained to AVA. When AVA officer came to track Xiao Hei, residents hid her in their home. They then appealed to me to save her. Without hesitation, I brought her home. My whole family adored her, including my daughter who is afraid of dogs. She is the one who greet us when we reach home and is the first one we talk to after a day's of hard work!
Xiao Hei is a lovely and clever dog. She does not simply bark and does not disturb neighbours. She is very afraid of thunder and will hide inside our bedroom whenever it rains.
She loved to wonder out of the house. Whenever the gate is open, she will sneak out, but every time she will come back after a short while.
Yesterday, as usual, she sneaked out. We opened the side gate, waiting for her to come back. Sadly, until now, she is still not back. We have been hunting for her in Serangoon Garden area, but there is no sign of her......Xiao Hei, where are you? Are you hungry? Are you wet? Are you hurt?
If you see Xiao Hei, please alert us........ Can help to share this message? Hopefully, with more people's help, we can find Xiao Hei.
