Dear Dr Tan,
Sorry for the late reply.

Just for argument sake, now supposed this year, the Government decides to also issue 100,000 work passes to foreign workers who are more than happy to work at half the price of Singaporean workers here in Singapore. Do you seriously think Singaporean workers will still have a chance to grab any of the 100,000 jobs opened this year? There lies my point.
Tighten the foreign labor policy and you shall see an immediate effect of employment of the locals.
All the best to your help to our Malay Singaporeans.

Dear Kojak,
It is strange that you would not want to reveal your identity , yet you continued to engage me, this is hardly an acceptable and responsible approach,
First of all, is my identity of any importance to the discussion issue? When Premier Wen was talking to the Chinese netizens on the Net, did he insist that he must know the identity of the netizens first? No, he proceeded to engage the netizens because he was more interested to discuss the content and the issues plaguing China currently. It doesn't matter if the person talking to Premier Wen is a black, white or red person on the other end. In any case, you can be assured that I don't know you personally. I first heard about you from the papers and I couldn't agree with some of your comments. Hence, I wrote to you.It is strange that you would not want to reveal your identity , yet you continued to engage me, this is hardly an acceptable and responsible approach,
not withstanding that you posed my e-mail on the website previously without informing me, for whatever reasons you tried to justify. It is just not the right thing to do and you should at least said you are sorry and would not do it again!
I recalled you mentioned in your last email saying that you don't mind and that you have nothing to hide. As said, the reason for posing your views and replies on the forum is to share them with the rest of the netizens. This is much like how you are sharing your views with reporters and later have your views published on papers to be shared with the rest of Singaporeans. So, if you are changing your mind now about sharing, I can stop posting it on the forum.
If you are so concerned about Singaporeans as I do, you should revel your identity so that we can have constructive and meaningful exchanges of views.
Even without revealing my identity, I'm sure we can still exchange meaningful views. Again, Premier Wen didn't seem to have a problem engaging anonymous netizens on the net. He still had many meaningful discussions with the Chinese netizens. I have already told you that I'm the moderator of the 3in1kopitiam forum.
If I may say so, based on one example you cited, how could you conclude that what I said is wrong ? How much do you know about that particular case as every case is different! Even if that case is as what you think, does that mean we have to give up helping other Singaporeans, are you aware of many cases that were successful?
Certainly, I'm not advocating that we stop helping Singaporeans. On the contrary, they need more help than ever before in view of Government opening our labor market to foreigners relentlessly.
Surely you cant say training is bad especially if the training is being offered by employers such as the Integrated resorts or hotels management. Generally effectiveness of training can be monitored and evaluated don’t you think so. So please think positive and act positively get down to help fellow Singaporeans to have a change to get back to meaningful job rather than just criticizing ….
Sure, training by itself is not a bad thing. I guess I was just trying to put things into perspective. As long as the Government continues to let in cheap and young foreign workers into Singapore, no matter how hard one trains, the older Singaporean worker will still have a hard time competing with those foreigners.
If you are not sincere in coming clean to tell who you are, I rather not sharing with you what I think on ways to get Singaporeans back to meaningful jobs.
As said, I'm a moderator on the 3in1kopitiam forum. The reason I wrote you this email was because of what you said on the papers which only revealed half of the story. Yes, training by itself is not wrong. But even a well trained soldier cannot withstand waves after waves of onslaught by the enemy.
Tighten the foreign labor policy and you shall see an immediate effect of employment of the locals.
I am currently helping ethnic group such as Malay Singaporeans who are resource-poor, do you want to offer your help too ?
I would like to believe that I'm helping Singapore in my little own way by educating the public about the danger of being too liberal opening up our market to foreign labor. If the Government continues with this policy, their votes will be affected. I'm merely making use of the Net (since the main media is very much controlled) to tell the citizens of their rights to vote and that they should vote wisely this time.
All the best to your help to our Malay Singaporeans.
