PM LHL has already mentioned in Parliament, there's a limit to tobacco tax. At average S$10 per pack now, black market is selling at about S$5 and many are already willing to take the risk for the profits on selling side and savings on buying side. At S$50 per pack, I think desperado pirates and smugglers would be willing and ready to shoot customs and police officers.

my take on smoking, if your life is good,for instance if you have family and you are married,then quitting smoking is good. and if you are single and rich, quitting is also worthwhile.

on the other hand if you are poor,life is no good, fuck it lah,just smoke!:p
