My current favourite ATB actress is Chen Lijun (陈丽君). Not a superchio, but I really like her attitude and character. Master @Dongyi 陈丽君, 可以吗？

Chen Lijun was born on May 9, 1992 in Shengzhou, Zhejiang Province, and was exposed to Yue opera from a young age.

She attended the Shengzhou Yue Opera Art School, specializing in the huadan (young female) role type. After graduation, she was admitted to the Xiaobaihua class in 2008, focusing on the Xiaosheng (young male) role type.

She starred in a lead role in New Dragon Gate Inn from 2023 to 2024, an opera adapted from the wuxia film of the same name, and gained popularity for her participation in the fifth season of Sisters Who Make Waves.

I ain't an ardent fan of 越剧. Those roles in 越剧 doesn't bring out her external and internal beauty. However she caught my eye in her individual first performance in 2024 Episode 2 Sisters Who Make Waves (乘风破浪).

It was simply stunning.



Two years have gone by and I just happened to watch her latest movie 标人 (Blades of the Guardians) this afternoon, in which she really did well together with Tony Leung, Jet Li and Nicholas Tse.

It was a box office hit in China in Feb 2026 CNY release.





She comes from humble beginnings. She was born into a farming family. Her parents and grandparents were tea farmers.

Nicolas Tse cannot act.

He is already handsome, yet he still feels the need to act handsome. That is the 死穴 of every man.

The moment you try to appear handsome, you're seeking validation from the opposite sex, and that, in itself, comes across as unmasculine. Ironically, the harder you try to look handsome, the less handsome you become.

Another actor who, in my view, tries too hard to look handsome is Raymond Lam. He's 普普通通, but he often seems to exaggerate his handsomeness through his expressions, poses, and mannerisms. Ironically, that can make him seem less natural and less attractive. Only sor hai and aunties will fall for him.
