What's wrong with 'mutilated' coins as long as you don't use them for transactions?

Are they going to investigate every Singapore flag that gets burnt? Every Merlion that gets smashed?

Sinkie police, why not devote your resources to solving real crimes or at the very least ensure that one of your kind does not go around murdering people?
