Even if we disregard everything that happened before 1948 the fact remains that the state of Israel was legally created according to international law. The state of Palestine never existed in the past and still does not exist now because there is no such thing as "Palestine".

Isreal never abides by international law and UNSC resolutions which is binding on all.
So if you can be selective on which ruling to follow, the rest of the world can also be selective in saying isreal is an illegal state.

A few years back, I happened to take an afternoon break & had a cup of coffee at a coffee shop, which was next to a playground.

There was a tall & elegant looking Chinese lady with a beautiful 5 yr old female child. The child was playing on a toy horse fixed with springs to the ground.

Then a woman, presumably by her dress code defined as being a Muslim - hijab, fat & with a rather sour demeanor, came to the playground with her 3 yr old female child, who ran with glee to the toy horse that the Chinese girl was riding on.

The Chinese girl, perhaps out of upbringing, graciously gave up her seat for the younger child, smilingly, & stood beside the young child. She thought that the younger child would take turns as she had done, but the younger child refused to give up. So she politely asked, but the younger child ignored.

The Chinese mother saw what happened, got up & assured her daughter not to be concerned, just let the younger child have fun, & to go elsewhere.

However, the Muslim mother too saw what happened, got up & scolded both the Chinese lady & her daughter, accusing them of bullying her kid. The Chinese mother had a confused look on her face, but she just smiled & walked away with her daughter, leaving the Muslim mother alone continuing mouthing expletives..

After a while, peace & serenity returned. The playground became empty, & a flock of pigeons took over..........

Palestine is a Roman construct. The issue is not whether modern Israel should exist but what the Arab world has to offer.
