Muslim Man appears in court charged with 'explosive and firearm offences' after Glasgow street sealed off

A man has appeared in court charged with firearms and explosive substance offences after alleged suspect items were found at a property in Glasgow.


Broomhill Drive in the city’s west end was closed off on Thursday after the alleged items were found by police during a search, and some properties were evacuated.


Shazad Khan, 50, faced charges under the Explosive Substances Act, the Firearms Act and Misuse of Drugs Act when he appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday.
