Multi-vehicle crash on Johor highway brings traffic to standstill; several feared dead

Several people are believed to have been killed in a a fiery crash involving multiple vehicles on the North-South Expressway in Johor Bahru, Malaysia on Tuesday (Jun 23). The accident reportedly brought traffic on the highway to a standstill for up to 9km.

Probably caused by rogue contractors. You can see they are extending the width of the highway and sometimes contractors close one lane without proper warnings.

This stretch is being upgraded to increase 2 lanes to 3. Dunno why it makes it prone to accidents. Quite often see vans and trucks on its side.
