How many units in the so called foreigner township? 10000 units? 30000 units or more? Mudland property tax is not cheap for JB city centre property. A small unit of condo is taxed 1500 plus per year. Obviously the same expensive rate will apply to these so called foreigner township condos. And not all units are small. Assume average property tax is 2000 per unit times 10000 units is already 20 million ringgit benefits to mudland every year. And that’s not counting a cent of spending these foreigners will make to renovate the units that will benefit Malaysians running business.

Ya mudland very smart to sell water space to foreigners to reclaim to become land and then complain about it when there was no land there in the first place. Just buy back the water space from foreigners ok.

That’s where the vital difference is between JB and Spore. Mudland only creates jobs for themselves, not foreigners. They have plenty of rules to safeguard. So no need to worry about that. Jobs created by foreigners include the management office, maintenance and sales jobs for Malaysians in these projects. Plentiful of jobs created by foreigners and the minister dare to tell blatant lie that they received no benefits!
