A video uploaded on YouTube shows Malaysian fans shouting and gesturing violently at Singapore riot police outside Jalan Besar Stadium on Tuesday night.
5 football fans -- 4 men and 1 woman -- were arrested for behaving in an unruly fashion when they could not enter the stadium.
About a hundred fans in all were enraged after not being able to watch the Malaysia Super League match between LionsXII and Darul Takzim despite having bought tickets.
10 police cars and five riot control vehicles were called in to manage the scuffle between the Malaysian fans and the police.
An earlier video uploaded to Stomp shows angry fans yelling: "People pay money, not free you know" and "I came here from very far, jam some more."
Police have also responded to incident. A spokesperson for the Police said:
"Police were deployed at a soccer game at Jalan Besar Stadium on 20 May 2014 evening.
"It was established that 4 males and 1 female were behaving in an unruly manner when they could not enter the stadium.
"They were subsequently arrested for disorderly behaviour. Police investigations are ongoing.”
