BUTTERWORTH: Malaysians do not need advice from Lee Kuan Yew on how to manage the country, said former premier Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
The comments by Singapore's Minister Mentor showed he wanted Malaysia to be managed like the island republic despite the fundamental differences between the two neighbours, he said.
'Every country has its own peculiar problems, which have to be settled mostly by themselves,' Abdullah told reporters at his Hari Raya open house in Kepala Batas yesterday.
He was commenting on The New York Times interview with Lee on Sept 10 in which Lee spoke about the governing system in Malaysia.
