SINGAPORE - HO CHING, the chief executive of Singapore state investor Temasek Holdings , has told her staff internally that she is not leaving the company, two sources said, denying a recent news report that she may leave in August.
Speculation about her departure had mounted after the Financial Times reported earlier this month that Mdm Ho was likely to step down in August.
Mdm Ho, the wife of Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, has been executive director at the company since May 2002 and chief executive since January 2004.
Mdm Ho Ching told the staff internally she is not leaving,' said one of the sources with knowledge of the matter.
The sources said Mdm Ho told staff that if she had to leave on a 'high note', she could have done so last year when Temasek's portfolio had more than recovered from the financial crisis.
