A new strain of MRSA has been found in British milk, indicating that the superbug is spreading through the livestock population and poses a growing threat to human health.

The new strain, MRSA ST398, has been identified in seven samples of bulk milk from five different farms in England.

The discovery, from tests on 1,500 samples, indicates that antibiotic-resistant organisms are gaining an increasing hold in the dairy industry.

ok... breast is best... any lactacting mums? :p:p:p

You need at least ten mums just to eat a bowl of cereal.

hmm... a pair of breasts can produce some 10 oz of milk on a good diet coupled with plenty of hydration. 2 pairs of breasts of that calibre is good enough for me bowl of cococrunch :p:p:p

previously me was playing with simple Ecoli laden with only tetracycline resistant genes, the original stock from the supplier got contaminated and the bugger actually gained other antibiotic resistances, the last me checked: amoxicillin, streptomycin. how it gained these genes in that -20 freezer me have no idea :eek::eek:

Tuan,

Don't play play. MRSA is prevalent in hospitals. If possible, don't stay too long. Sekali no sick, also become sick !
