Indeed, remaining completely neutral in all political matters is part of a code of conduct expected of all civil servants. This is to help maintain a “high standard of conduct” among the civil servants.

That being the case, how can Mr Chew, as a civil servant in NParks and a PAP Branch Secretary of Sengkang West, maintain complete neutrality in all political matters?

What is to stop him from putting his party’s interest first?

The blogger asked, “So now, given his senior appointment as the Sengkang West branch secretary of the PAP, can Chew Thiam Kwee claim to be politically neutral?”

“What guarantee is there that he will not formulate policies from a partisan angle with a view to benefiting the PAP?” he added.

“Most important of all, as taxpayers footing Chew’s salary, we need to ask ourselves: is it acceptable for a senior civil servant like Chew to so openly profess his earnest support for the PAP?”

Perhaps Sengkang West residents should pose this question to MP Lam Pin Min the next time they meet him.

What do you think?

PAP is the government and the government is PAP. It has been this way for the past 50 years. If you put PAP first, it also means you are putting Singapore's interest first. And that is in line with what civil servants' core duty: put sinkies first.

History have shown that countries flourishes after the fall of tyrannical empires/dynasty and political parties.

So, do not tie Singapore's fate with that of PAP. Singapore would still be here long after PAP is gone.

When it is known that a government official is also a PAP cadre, the answer will always be to serve the people better, the government official decide to join the PAP to better help people.

When it is known a government official is also a opposition member, he'll find himself out of job real soon, due to poor performance etc.

I pity your kids if you feed them this sort of propaganda day in day out.

Africa became a basket case after the tyrannical white colonial masters left. Everyone, including the niggers, recognized that they were better off under the colonial masters than their own people. So, not true that the fall of tyrannical masters would let the country flourish. You might end up with someone even worse!!

Same for Iraq post-Saddam Hussein.

So you mean we should invite the British back and do away with the Lees?

Really, everyone, including niggers recognized that they were better off under the colonial masters :oIo::kma:

Nelson Mandela's funeral definitely tells a different story. They are jubilant over their freedom.

Base on your delusional mind and servitude, all of us would still be wearing a pig tail.
