SINGAPORE - Several flights to and from Bali were cancelled or delayed because of volcanic ash from Mount Bromo in East Java, which has been erupting all week.
Two Singapore Airlines (SIA) flights were cancelled yesterday: SQ 946, which was scheduled to depart from Singapore at 4.30pm and SQ 947 which was to leave Denpasar for Singapore at 8.05pm local time.
Two SIA flights were delayed: SQ 948 which was supposed to depart Singapore at 6.50pm yesterday will leave at 10.30am today and SQ 941 which was scheduled to depart Denpasar at 9.15am today, will depart at 2.10pm instead.

Silkair flies to Lombok on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Budget carrier Jetstar issued a statement about the cancellation of its flights to Bali from Australia and Singapore.
For the latter route, flight VF 541 to Denpasar and flight VF 542 to Singapore were affected. Jetstar is offering affected passengers the option of delaying their travel for up to three months or a full refund.
Indonesian officials said Air France-KLM, Cathay Pacific, ValueAir and Virgin Blue also cancelled several Bali flights due to concerns about visibility.
Mount Bromo sprang back to life last November. No injuries or serious damage were reported after its latest eruption.
