Motorcycle theft: Three suspects arrested

SINGAPORE: Four motorcycles were stolen between June 26 and 28 in the vicinity of Bukit Merah and Telok Blangah, and the police have arrested three men suspected to be involved in the thefts.
In a statement on Tuesday (July 15), the Singapore Police Force said the three men, aged between 19 and 33, were arrested for their suspected involvement in the thefts. The stolen motorcycles were recovered in the vicinity of Telok Blangah Crescent after investigations conducted by officers from Central Police Division and Clementi Police Division.
A joint operation by the two divisions resulted in the first suspect's arrest in the vicinity of Clementi Loop at 4pm on July 14, while the other two men were arrested around Telok Blangah Crescent at 12am on July 15, according to the statement.
The suspects will be charged with Theft of Motor Vehicle with Common Intention in court on Tuesday. If convicted, they face a maximum jail term of seven years and a fine. - CNA/kk
