While a journalist may want to raise awareness on a tragic and sensitive incident, she should always remember to minimise harm towards her the victim's loved ones. An ethical reporter must be sympathetic to the victim's family who might be particularly affected by content which is inaccurate and seeks to make light of the perpetrator's reckless act.
