Most expensive city to live in: Singapore
The new champion of the world, Singapore has recently beat out Tokyo for the title of "most expensive city" for 2014.
Cars can cost between 4-6 times in Singapore what they cost in the US or UK (for example, a Toyota Prius actually costs about $150,000.00 there).

Property does not depreciate unlike motor vehicles unless its a classic car. Depreciation is a wealth destroyer and high taxes on depreciating assets magnifies this and puts consumers in debt.

Property goes through a cycle. It depends when you buy and whether you can live long enough to see the recovery.

Wonderful meh? Every night you see drunkard teenagers you wonder if there is still hope for the country.
