Being single in Thailand is no longer just a phase but it has become a lifestyle. This shift is transforming everything from the way we live to how we spend. Today, one in four Thais aged 25-34 identifies as single and in Bangkok that number rises to 50 percent with women making up 75 percent of this group.

The driving forces behind this change are greater freedom, increased earning power and a cultural mindset that’s moving away from settling down and toward self-improvement. For many millennials and Gen Z, choosing to be single is about prioritizing personal growth over wedding bells and that’s more than okay.

The problem is that they are mostly single mum.

Many Pinoy maids here are also single mothers.

Because of some delulu Catholic traditions, they were not allowed to divorce. So if they find a boyfriend here, technically it's adultery.
