Charities facing hard times

WITH the recent spate of charity scandals hitting our shores, charities are finding it harder to win over the donor's dollar.

And it does not help that walking down Singapore's busier streets brings you toe to toe with people asking you to donate or help with their causes.

So how do you determine which organisation is legit?

In this episode of Pointblank, RazorTV finds out from Singapore Children's Society as well as the Community Chest on how they are coping.

We also speak to the people on the street, to find out what they are saying.

nothing is free. why should i give money to so-called charities?

are we giving charity to singtel , media corp,,,, instead. their charges so high,,,, big part of donation receive go to them.... better buy rice and other essiential items and send directly to the organisation instead,,, like this no more t.t durai and spiderman monk. make phone call give donation must also pay gst and phone management fee,,,, thought they should do their part also...
