BEIJING - China's purchasing managers' business activity index for non-manufacturing sectors rose to 59.0 in April from 55.7 in March and 41.9 in February, the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) said.

A reading over 50 indicates an expansion of activity while one below 50 suggests contraction.
The non-manufacturing sector includes retailing, airlines, transportation, construction and catering.
