Already missing his Facebook jogging partner

LIKE many of his Facebook friends, I am saddened by the loss of our Facebook jogging partner, Minister George Yeo, at the recent GE.
He was the only minister who actually made an effort to know his cyber friends, inviting us out for jogging. He was way ahead of his time compared with his PAP colleagues and opposition members.
I only wish that Mr Yeo and other PAP ministers could have gone one step further to engage Singaporeans in discussions in a town hall fashion. In meeting with us, they would know how we perceive policies. Some of us would have even offered viable solutions.
If there was deep public resentment, it came from discontent. Often, we felt strongly against many policies and believed there were better or more equitable solutions. Unfortunately, our grouses became "noise" aired during the elections.
If there is one thing the Prime Minister must do differently now, it is to ask his MPs to hold town hall meetings with a multitude of people regularly.
