More drivers caught speeding

The number caught speeding is higher for the first nine months of this year compared to the same period last year.
There were 181,000 speeding violations, up from about 178,000.
And the need to speed cuts across all types, from drivers of supercars to those driving family cars, said motoring experts.
Associate editor of Torque magazine, Mr Tony Tan, said he sees more family cars and commercial vehicles speeding.
Singapore Motor Sports Association’s Automobile Sport vice-president, Mr Winson Ow, said one reason could be that those who are caught speeding aren’t aware of how fast their cars are.
