I tried out for the team but I wear spectacles & soon found out That wearing specs was an impediment to contact sports.

The principal of Monfort was principal of another school before.
That school also played rugby. He was very kiasu injuries from rugby on students would give him
black marks and he be condemned. So he banned rugby in that school. But he fucked up on other things
to the point he was investigated . Teaching is iron rice bowl. If nothing illegal or criminal done, you never be asked to harakiri.
But he was removed from that school and send to Monfort as principal.

Looks like he making his mark in Monfort the way he made his mark in the other school.

The Teochews catholics would know this school well. And the kids are tough lot and hard work runs in their blood. Montfort is not an elite school like RI or ACS. It's a miracle that this monfort boy you speak of did not end up squandering our hard-earned reserves in failed investments.
