Her win will pave the way for more Foreigners to come to our shore under the PAP's FT policy. I regarded her win as a hollow victory.. Frankly speaking I was more proud of our men's athletic's 4x100m team who narrowly lose the Gold Medal to the Indonesians in their 4x100m relay final.. 4 young men of Spore consisting of 3 Chinese and a Malay, all true blue Sporeans giving our their almighty best for the country... Well Done Boys..

China dominates sports of agility like badminton and table tennis because there's already the prerequisite build of oriental agility. Korea and Japan competes well in these sports too but China has the extra edge. They commit children to training, drilling and grilling from kindergarten. Indonesia was once king of badminton and Malaysia not far behind, both Indonesian and Malaysian Malays and Chinese. Surprisingly, they've never been interested in table tennis.

Funny that you mentioned Forrest Gump. There's no way anyone with a build like Tom Hanks can beat any average trained Chinese in table tennis.
