MINISTRY OF HEALTH “EXPERT” KENNETH MAK: I DON’T KNOW WHETHER HEALTHY PEOPLE SHOULD WEAR MASK OR NOT
By admin -April 2, 202013 0

MOH Director Kenneth Mak

When pointed out that the United States government has done a reversal policy on wearing face masks in public and questioned if Singapore will follow suit, the director of medical services at Ministry of Health, Kenneth Mak, replied he does not have the answer.

The phoney coronavirus “expert” said he need to discuss with the PAP politicians before giving the instruction:

“The ministry is looking at evidence very carefully and conducting a review of our stance on masks, as we do with other policies. As far as masks are concerned, we are in fact in the process of continuing to review the data that’s available, both in the literature as well as the international experience. The recommendations would be made after the review is completed.”

Kenneth Mak did not give a timeline when the PAP government will complete their “review”.

In China, Czech and Slovakia, not wearing a mask in public is an arrestable offence. The successful control of the outbreak in Taiwan, Macau and Hong Kong also see everyone in society wearing a mask in public.

Singapore just reported its 1,000 case reported with 4 deaths. The latest deceased is a 68 year old Indonesia medical tourist, who sought treatment at Singapore’s self-trumpeted “world-class” healthcare.

Logic tells us that a filter is always better than no filter. Filtration removes impurities that could otherwise taint our drinking water, the fuel that goes into the internal combustion engine, the oil that cools the engine, the air we breathe, and so on.

This no need to wear mask advisory was concocted to not cause panic in the population and also because there was not enough masks to go around. Now that mask productions have gone up, and there're ample supplies, they can start to sing a different tune.

What if the filter unit is contaminated with the very organisms that you intend to filter out?

This fucking cheebye is as useless as a turd.

Wearing mask is the way to go. Some people may carry the virus but do not show symptoms. Hence if everyone wears masks, then it will minimise spread.

If there are a whole lot of asymptotic infections masks are going to do absolutely nothing because the virus will be so widespread that it will be impossible to avoid.

Lee Hsien Loong is not wearing a mask in public, why shouldn't we follow his example?

Then it is up to the individual to ensure that the filter unit is not contaminated. Stupid people will always do stupid things, what to do!

Exactly! A first class, double honors maths wizard from Cambridge would definitely know how to calculate the odds. If he decides it is better without a mask then it must be the right way to go.

Other countries that make the wearing of masks compulsory don't have leaders with such high IQs. Many of those countries are run by retards.

He is smart enough to have calculated the odds. Tell the people don't wear masks, lose a few hundred lives. Tell them need to wear masks, there will be a severe shortage and a stampede for masks, lose a few thousand lives. Looks like he really loves sinkies!

Surely, "asypmtomatic" infections?

I thought the question is not whether to wear or not yo wear mask. The real issue is whether we have sufficient stock of 5-6 millions masks to be supplied to the people daily, yes?

Just use scotch tape to stick some toilet paper across your nose and mouth. It will be just as effective.

According to insider sources, most of the available masks in the world were grabbed up by the Chinese during the earlier days of the pandemic. Sinkie government tried to source from other countries but couldn't compete with them.

Now that China and Taiwan have started production, their local stockpile is sufficient and even can export to US and Europe. But sinkieland still not in a good place... because we have no production capability

have lah. 3m factory in sg produces masks for sexport to u.s. tons of n95 masks from sg factory arrived in port of l.a. earlier this week. their n95 masks use their trademarked filtrete technology. they rammed up their factories across the world, including one in sg, to produce n95 masks. here's the link to their corporate statement.
https://investors.3m.com/news/news-...est-Actions-on-COVID-19-Response/default.aspx
"3M Chairman and CEO Mike Roman issued the following update announcing additional details about 3M’s capacity increases of N95 respirators, strong measures to combat price gouging and counterfeiting, and new partnerships to help protect our healthcare workers on the front lines:

We continue to act with urgency to address this crisis from every angle, and do all we can to protect our heroic nurses, doctors and first responders. As previously communicated, beginning in January we ramped up to maximum production of N95 respirators, doubling our global output to a rate of 1.1 billion per year, or 100 million per month. This includes 35 million per month in the United States, and over just the last seven days we have delivered 10 million N95 respirators to healthcare facilities in states across the country." blah bah blah......

Because we don't have the benefit of a 5m security cordon around us when we go about our day

The Great Leeder didn't give specific instructions, how can MOH take initiative on the matter? :sneaky:

Isn't Razer Tan setting up a line to produce masks here? Oh was that just hot air?

A country full of supposedly intelligent citizens can’t build own manufacturing facilities to produce our own masks? Hey look, making face masks ain’t no Apollo spacecraft for sure.
