Why do Spore citizens still have to pay for school fees 
This is a country which claims to be 1st world & MPs are making super duper salaries.
FYI, A canadian student in one of Ontario public schools do not have to pay for school fees or text books.
Candians do not even have to pay for GST if you are buying school related items for students e.g. pen, paper,...
GST is also not charge for necessities like food purchased at a market, supermarket.

Do not make this comparison or Minister Bala would ask how many meals you wanted in a day when he indirectly wanted to know "what more free do you want?".
He got millions in salary and yet sinkies are not entitled to ask for freebies.
This is a step in the right direction….i think they are trying to address the imbalance between the way locals and foreigners are treated.
One way is to treat locals better (lower their costs)….the other is to impose higher costs on foreigners. Given their love of money, I guess we already know which strategy they will pick.
Still, it's not enough to control the population influx here.
We must lower Singo income taxes and significantly raise taxes on foreigners….they come here solely to raise children in a clean green and SAFE environment….they must be required to shell out a tax to enjoy that.

No this way also not good, now I noticed more people taking up sg citizenship, but only one member or one spouse only, usually it is the woman, now they take SC and get baby bonus, while the men still remain PR or foreigner and escape NS to continue getting best of both worlds, also PAP realises that new citizens will vote for them. So grant citizenship easily now. I think SC should be awarded in phases with last priority given to females and those with only one spouse taking citizenship.
