BEIJING: China expressed “strong dissatisfaction” with India on Thursday over the recent crash of an Indian drone in Chinese territory, an incident that could cause more friction along their disputed border.

Indian and Chinese troops confronted each other between June and August this year - at one stage even resorting to scuffling and throwing stones - on a remote plateau near the borders of India, its ally Bhutan, and China, in the most serious and prolonged standoff in decades.

The nuclear-armed Asian giants have tried to develop their ties in recent years but there is still deep distrust over their disputed border, which triggered war in 1962.

China’s defence ministry said in a statement the Indian drone had crashed in “recent days” but it did not give a location.

“This action by India violated China’s territorial sovereignty. We express strong dissatisfaction and opposition,” Zhang Shuili, a military official in China’s western battle zone command, was quoted as saying in a ministry statement.

“China’s border defence forces took a professional and responsible attitude in conducting an inspection of the device,” Zhang said, adding that the military would “resolutely defend” China’s sovereignty and security.

The Indian army said an unmanned aerial vehicle was on a training mission over Indian territory when it developed technical problems and crossed a so-called line of actual control separating the countries’ militaries.

Indian border guards alerted their Chinese counterparts about the drone soon afterwards, an Indian army spokesman said.

China had provided the Indian army with details about where the drone came down and Indian authorities were investigating, Colonel Aman Anand said in a statement.

“The matter is being dealt with in accordance with the established protocols,” Anand said.

China also lodged diplomatic “representations” with India, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang told a regular briefing.

“China asks India to immediately stop its activities of using unmanned aircraft near the border, and to work alongside China to maintain the border area’s peace and tranquillity,” he said.

After the weeks of confrontation on the wind-swept Doklam plateau this year, the two sides agreed to an “expeditious disengagement” of troops about a week before Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met in an effort to mend ties at a summit in China in September.

But the mountainous border remains sensitive for both sides.

In November, China criticised a visit by Indian President Ram Nath Kovind to the remote state of Arunachal Pradesh, which China claims, saying China opposed any activities by Indian leaders in disputed areas.

India's army reportedly spent six months watching "Chinese spy drones" violating its air space, only to find out they were actually Jupiter and Venus.

Tensions have been high in the disputed Himalayan border area between the two nations in recent years, with India frequently accusing its neighbour of making incursions onto its territory. Things came to a head during a stand-off in April when Chinese troops were accused of erecting a camp on the Indian side of the de facto boundary known as the Line of Actual Control (LAC). By that stage, Indian troops had already documented 329 sightings of unidentified objects over a lake in the border region, between last August and February, according to the Calcutta-based Telegraph.

It quotes military sources as saying the objects violated the LAC 155 times. So, the army called the Indian Institute of Astrophysics to identify the objects. "Our task was to determine whether these unidentified objects were celestial or terrestrial," astronomer Tushar Prabhu told the paper. Only once the objects' movements were noted in relation to the stars were they identified as planets. The Telegraph suggests the sentry ought to be forgiven, with planets appearing brighter as a result of the different atmosphere at altitude and the increased use of surveillance drones.

  印度国防部北京时间7日15时零六分发表了一份声明,回应中国关于“印度无人机入侵中国领土并坠毁”的谴责,承认这一事件发生。

  印度国防部在回应的声明中称,“一架印度无人机在印度领土内进行常规训练时,因出现技术问题失去了与地面控制的联系,并跨越了锡金段的实际控制线。”

  按照双方的标准协议,印度边境安全人员立即通知中国的边防同行定位无人机。作为回应,中方将印度无人机的位置等细节回复给印方。目前事故的确切原因正在调查中。

其中高分系列已实现0.8米的民用分别率,据信军用卫星的分别率可达0.5米。为了实现大范围的凝视观测。中国在去年发射了高度3.6万公里的静止轨道凝视侦察卫星,从而实现全球静止轨道实时侦察,目前分辨率为50米,还不足以精确地获取目标信息。需要低轨道遥感卫星进一步详查,这样就同时带来低轨道高分辨率卫星的刷新率不足问题。

2015年10月7日吉林一号星座群以“一箭四星”发射成功,由4颗小卫星组成,包括1颗吉林一号光学A星,主要用于获取高分辨图像,地面分辨率0.7米。1颗灵巧成像新技术验证星,灵巧成像也叫推扫成像,是遥感卫星为克服太阳轨道造成拍摄地区东西轴向幅宽和精度不足的弱点,通过卫星镜头的姿态摇摆控制,形成宽幅高精度图像,这在对地观测领域是个革命性的跨越。

  目前印度采用什么无人机入侵中国领空尚不得而知,不过这架无人机临阵出丑可以推测并不是什么高级型号,印度本身不具备研制无人机能力,依赖进口,此前曾经有报道说,印度可能会从以色列引进云雀小型无人机,用于中印边境侦察任务,云雀小型无人机是一种便携式无人机,最大起飞重量只有10公斤左右,可以配备1公斤载荷,包括光电探测系统、激光指示设备等,最大飞行高度4700米,续航时间为3个小时,最大控制半径大约50公里左右,它对于后勤保障要求较低,比较适合基础设施落后印度北方边境使用,因此笔者推测印度此次可能就是使用这种无人机对中国进行侦察,不过这种无人机可靠性似乎欠佳,9月份以色列刚刚宣布有2架云雀无人机在约旦河西南坠毁,今年已经有8架同类型无人机损失,所以印度这架无人机掉链子也不让人感觉意外。

  根据印度国防部2016年最新公布的报告中列出了10份超过100亿美元的合同,这些合同由于印度新一年预算危机问题,正在处于激烈取舍中,最终谁上谁下仍然是个未知数。但是有一个未来超过100亿的合同没有位列其中,就是印度的未来十年内采购超过5000架无人机的大单。

  由于印度周边无论是中国还是巴基斯坦都在大举扩装自己的无人机部队,这些无人机具备侦察和攻击的察打一体的能力。具有代表性的就是中国的“翼龙”无人机、“彩虹-3”无人机等等,已经频繁出现在印度周边,这让印度认识到自己距离现代化军队的目标仍然差距很远。

  再看印度本土的无人机产业,印度曾经花费重金自行研制无人机-“尼尚特”无人机。这种由印度国防研究和发展组织花费上千万美元研发的无人机,从1988年立项,到2011年交付部队,总共才制造了4架,并且在2015年底,这4架全部坠毁!根据印度国防部报告称,最后一架坠毁的“尼尚特”无人机是在海拔5000米高度执行对中国巡逻军人侦察任务时失事的。当时情况具体不得而知,但是就回传的图像照片分析,印度无人机是在飞行时瞬间坠毁的,这让印度空军的操作人员显然不敢相信自己的眼睛。因为根据印度开发部门介绍,这种无人机是设计时已经考虑到突然失去联络或者操作人员失误的问题,一旦发生会自动转入平飞状态,可仍然最终还是坠毁了。这让印度军方对自己的无人机研发团队彻底丧失了信心。坠毁是小事,但是如果要真到了中国上空,那后续问题就麻烦大了,这么不靠谱的装备还是别采购了。另外2011年后,印度部队还接收了10架”尼尚特”改进版无人机,现在也已经坠毁半数了!

  所以在印度的未来十年蓝图中,要求所有的无人机投标企业必须是印度本国公司,先振兴自己的基础再说。不过可以和国外公司捆绑竞标,意图非常明确,用市场换技术。毕竟印度未来的市场还是相当广袤的,尤其是印度计划给每个营都配备上无人机部队,空军还要扩建多个无人机侦察打击中队。印度还想购买不占用编制的微小型无人机给单兵使用。所以印度未来市场还是非常庞大的。

  要知道印度这回下决心发展无人机产业也是下了血本!连本来要采购法国“阵风”战斗机的钱都拿来优先购置无人机。“阵风”采购的问题以后以特别预算来审批,至于印度空军一直想增购的A-50I预警机以及C-10运输机的采购案也都被否决了!完全都是为了给无人机项目让路。

  印度现在最想获得的是美国的“捕食者”无人机,能够进行察打一体任务,而且印度海军也想获得无人机装备现在的舰艇进行侦查使用。目前印度空军和海军看中了美国的“捕食者XP”无人机,这种无人机可以搭载武器,也可以进行侦查任务。或许非常适合印度现在的实际状况。不过购买美国货可能并没有印度想的那么简单,因为要涉及多重高技术装备附属的出口问题,比如GPS导航,外挂武器的另购,还有相关技术转让等等。注定不会一番丰顺,不过既然印度已经下定了100亿的决心来提升自己的无人机产业,想必这些困难印度也会尽力去解决,未来印度无人机发展如何,我们拭目以待。(作者署名:无名高地)

  根据印度国防部2016年最新公布的报告中列出了10份超过100亿美元的合同,这些合同由于印度新一年预算危机问题,正在处于激烈取舍中,最终谁上谁下仍然是个未知数。但是有一个未来超过100亿的合同没有位列其中,就是印度的未来十年内采购超过5000架无人机的大单。

  由于印度周边无论是中国还是巴基斯坦都在大举扩装自己的无人机部队,这些无人机具备侦察和攻击的察打一体的能力。具有代表性的就是中国的“翼龙”无人机、“彩虹-3”无人机等等,已经频繁出现在印度周边,这让印度认识到自己距离现代化军队的目标仍然差距很远。

  再看印度本土的无人机产业,印度曾经花费重金自行研制无人机-“尼尚特”无人机。这种由印度国防研究和发展组织花费上千万美元研发的无人机,从1988年立项,到2011年交付部队,总共才制造了4架,并且在2015年底,这4架全部坠毁!根据印度国防部报告称,最后一架坠毁的“尼尚特”无人机是在海拔5000米高度执行对中国巡逻军人侦察任务时失事的。当时情况具体不得而知,但是就回传的图像照片分析,印度无人机是在飞行时瞬间坠毁的,这让印度空军的操作人员显然不敢相信自己的眼睛。因为根据印度开发部门介绍,这种无人机是设计时已经考虑到突然失去联络或者操作人员失误的问题,一旦发生会自动转入平飞状态,可仍然最终还是坠毁了。这让印度军方对自己的无人机研发团队彻底丧失了信心。坠毁是小事,但是如果要真到了中国上空,那后续问题就麻烦大了,这么不靠谱的装备还是别采购了。另外2011年后,印度部队还接收了10架”尼尚特”改进版无人机,现在也已经坠毁半数了!

  所以在印度的未来十年蓝图中,要求所有的无人机投标企业必须是印度本国公司,先振兴自己的基础再说。不过可以和国外公司捆绑竞标,意图非常明确,用市场换技术。毕竟印度未来的市场还是相当广袤的,尤其是印度计划给每个营都配备上无人机部队,空军还要扩建多个无人机侦察打击中队。印度还想购买不占用编制的微小型无人机给单兵使用。所以印度未来市场还是非常庞大的。

  要知道印度这回下决心发展无人机产业也是下了血本!连本来要采购法国“阵风”战斗机的钱都拿来优先购置无人机。“阵风”采购的问题以后以特别预算来审批,至于印度空军一直想增购的A-50I预警机以及C-10运输机的采购案也都被否决了!完全都是为了给无人机项目让路。

  印度现在最想获得的是美国的“捕食者”无人机,能够进行察打一体任务,而且印度海军也想获得无人机装备现在的舰艇进行侦查使用。目前印度空军和海军看中了美国的“捕食者XP”无人机,这种无人机可以搭载武器,也可以进行侦查任务。或许非常适合印度现在的实际状况。不过购买美国货可能并没有印度想的那么简单,因为要涉及多重高技术装备附属的出口问题,比如GPS导航,外挂武器的另购,还有相关技术转让等等。注定不会一番丰顺,不过既然印度已经下定了100亿的决心来提升自己的无人机产业,想必这些困难印度也会尽力去解决,未来印度无人机发展如何,我们拭目以待。(作者署名:无名高地)

  传统防空雷达主要探测较大型空中目标,受到信号/数据处理能力限制,对于微型无人机这样空中目标,考虑到它没有太大威胁,一般都会将其过滤,因此无人机反制系统首先解决就是探测问题,为中国相关厂家已经研制了多种无人机探测系统,包括光电探测、无源探测雷达、电子侦察系统、声探测系统等,可以对大面积区域进行监控,探测多批空中目标,例如709所研制无人机探测系统,选用无源雷达和光电跟踪设备,通过多个无源雷达组成探测网,从而实现大面积的无人机无感探测,数据汇聚到统一的无人机预警中心,集成探测、预警及反制一体化功能,能对空中目标进行有效探测、识别、警告, 可以同时处理800批目标,并对无人机反制系统提供射击引导,更让人感觉振奋就是国内相关单位居然还研制了微型有源相控阵三座标来探测微型无人机,它可以对2000米以下空中目标进行探测,以于微型无人机能提供2公里探测距离。并且这种雷达还可以用于水面和地面监视,例如探测10公里远快艇、5公里外人员和15公里外车辆。雷达可以同时跟踪多批目标,实时获取目标坐标和轨迹。

  反制手段方面,国产无人机反制手段主要包括软、硬两种,前者主要利用电子干扰手段来阻断无人机与操纵者之间联系,包括无人机与操纵者之间数据链、卫星导航系统,这样无人机就无法接收到操纵者发出指令,也无法把获取信息传递给操纵者,稍高级无人机都有无信号自动返航程序,技术层次低一些无人机可能就会落地坠毁,另外电子干扰手段还会向无人机发送虚假信号,对其进行诱骗,从而偏离原来航线。

  软式反制手段最主要问题就是只能驱离无人机,被驱离无人机可能还会返回,如果想彻底摧毁无人机,只能采用硬杀伤手段,国内无人机硬杀伤手段也有多种,一般采用抛撒网绳等缠住无人机,让其无法飞行,比较高级办法就是利用激光或者其他手段来击落无人机,中国已经公开展出了这样激光无人机防空系统,这就是国产低空卫士系统,从相关展会介绍可以看到该系统5秒内就可击毁目标,而且不会有附带损伤。拦截距离不小于2公里,单套系统防卫面积达12平方公里。系统已成功完成多次试验和演示,先后击落固定翼、多旋翼、直升机等典型小型航空器,显现较高防御能力,不过激光无人机防空系统有一个比较大缺点,那就是会让无人机燃烧,落到地面会有潜在火灾隐患,因此在使用上受到一定限制。

据印度亚洲通讯社(IANS)12月7日报道,侵入中方领空并坠毁的无人机型号是从以色列引进的“苍鹭”无人机。

“苍鹭”无人机是以色列研发的大型高空长航时无人侦察机,机翼展为16.6米,机身长为8.5米,最大起飞重量为1150千克(负荷250千克),其最大飞行速度达220千米/小时,最大升限超过9200米,作战半径约为350千米,续航时间20-45小时,配备有2套相互独立的自动起降系统。“苍鹭”无人机可携带光电和合成孔径雷达执行侦察任务。

1982年,印度启动无人机研制计划,经过30多年的发展,印度陆军已经装备200多架无人机。目前,印度陆军装备了数量超过50架的“苍鹭”无人机,是印度陆军航空侦察的主力机型。




据新华社12月7日报道,西部战区联合参谋部作战局副局长张水利就“印度无人飞行器侵入中方领空并坠毁”表示,近日,一架印度无人飞行器侵入中方领空并坠毁。印方此举侵犯了中国领土主权,我们对此表示强烈不满和反对。中国边防部队采取专业和负责任的态度,对该装置进行了识别查证。

印度国防部北京时间12月7日15时06分发表了一份声明,回应中国关于“印度无人机入侵中国领土并坠毁”的谴责,承认这一事件发生。

印度国防部在回应的声明中称,“一架印度无人机在印度领土内进行常规训练时,因出现技术问题失去了与地面控制的联系,并跨越了锡金段的实际控制线。”按照双方的标准协议,印度边境安全人员立即通知中国的边防同行定位无人机。作为回应,中方将印度无人机的位置等细节回复给印方。目前事故的确切原因正在调查中。

Load Grabbing was a successful model since before Genghis Khan eras, and lasted for dozen centuries. In those days world did not have billion level global populations & industrialized pollution & exploitation of global resources. Land represented the control of global resources during those days. Today just by grabbing land is no longer significant enough. Resources can not be securely controlled by just grabbing land alone.

Space orbit positions, Oceans, Arctic Ocean & Antarctica, even moon and Mars landing sites had been on the grabbing lists for over last 2 decades. But yet will still be insufficient to secure controls.

A reasonable first approximation would be the mass of air that the engine flies through in a minute - i.e. frontal area of the fan blades $\times$ aircraft velocity $\times$ air density. As a sanity check on your estimate, though at different conditions where the inlet velocity is not equal to the aircraft speed, at takeoff each engine on a B747 generates about 200kN of thrust, with an air mass flow of about 1 tonne (1000kg) per second. – alephzero Jan 10 at 23:34

The CFM56-5C, the largest CFM56, powers A340. Its thrust is about 145 kN at takeoff. It has an air mass flow of 485 kg/s (source).

The Trent XWB (A350 XWB), a larger engine developing 430 kN at takeoff, has an air mass flow of 1,440 kg/s (source).

T/O vs cruise power and fuel consumption

According to this document, the CFM56-5C T/O thrust is 150 kN and the cruise thrust is 40 kN (other sources states 30 kN), 27% of the T/O thrust. Related fuel consumption are 2.3 and 0.5 kg/s, meaning cruise fuel consumption is 22% of the T/O fuel consumption.

Air mass vs fuel mass

For a fuel consumption of 22% of the T/O consumption, it can be assumed relatively safely that the air flow is in proportion, so we can roughly estimate air mass flow in cruise to be about 485 * 0.22 = 107 kg/s. This is supported by figures found online in non authoritative sources, like page 245 of this book:

The world’s biggest engine is the Wartsila-Sulzer RTA96-C. It is a turbo charged two stroke diesel engine, and it is the most powerful and efficient low revolution engine in the world today. The Wartsila-Sulser is manufactured by the Aioi Works in Japan and is part of Japan’s Diesel United Ltd engine manufacturers. It is 89 feet long, 44 feet wide, and weighs 2000 tons.

but its “best cruise” is at 90 rpm where it burns only 1,666 gallons per hour.

These large engines are designed to power the world's super oil tankers and large container ships. They are built to the ship owners preferences. They usually request an engine construction of a single unit and single propeller design for ease of maintenance, and not surprisingly any later troubleshooting. A single unit and single screw design has also proved over time to have a longer life span than double or even quad screws.

These engines are built in 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 cylinder configurations. All the engines are straight or 'inline'. The diameter of each cylinder is 3 foot 2 inches with a stroke of 8 foot 2 inches. The 12 cylinder version weighs in at 2000 metric tons and delivers 90,000 horsepower at 100 revolutions per minute, with best fuel economy at 53,244 hp at 90 rpm. When I mention economy, the 14 cylinder engine for example with a displacement of 25,480 Liters ( 1.56 million cubic inches ) burns up 1,660 gallons of crude ("bunker") oil every hour.


The Mathematical calculation: 1,660 gallons/per hour = 39.5 barrels of crude oil/used per hour = $2,844. These figures are worked out from the basis of crude oil @ $72 a barrel*. $2,844 every hour the engine runs or 27.6 Gallons which is $46.00 every minute or 76 cents a second! That is of course if the ships buy oil at trade price -- if not then these figures are the absolute minimum. ( * at time of publishing )

When you eliminated human consumers, you will eliminate enormous amount of squandering of resources and pollution generated. It is the CLEANEST elimination. All other methods and Recycling are not truthful and very misleading. You cut 50% of global population you will cut 50% of consumption of resources - preventing them from being turned into wastes and pollutions by man, you cut 90% of this you will also cut 90% of that, you can cut 99.99% for this and that or further, we are then quite assured of AVERTING OUR OWN TOTAL EXTINCTION as warned by Scientists, and need not to try to flee to other planets as desired by Stephen Hawking.
