Mobile Phone Syndrome Haunts Majority of Singaporeans
by Savitha.C.Muppala on December 13, 2010

A Singaporean survey has discovered that most people always feel as if their mobile phones are ringing, when it's not.

Sin Chew Daily reported that a random survey of 50 people found that some 80 percent of them suffered from the mobile phone syndrome.

These folks would check their mobile phones incessantly to see if they were ringing or if there were any missed calls or messages
.

A psychiatrist blamed this syndrome on stress.

"Such people should learn to relax to avoid stress taking over their daily life," the Star Online quoted a psychiatrist.

Doctor also advised sufferers to switch off their mobile phones or avoid answering their phones for a period of time.

Lots of Singaporeans lead mundane lifes .

But having a ringing mobile makes the average sinkie feel important .
