Yes, watched the race and it was really a more tactical win by both Mo and his training partner. The ethiopians and kenyans were more interested in outdoing each and broke out too early. It seems Mo and Galen's plan was to keep running together to just before the last round before breaking off. Superb stuff it was and showed there is a more tactical side to long-distance running than meets the eye.
Mo and his parents came to escape instability from their country (Mo's dad was a british citizen who met Mo's mum in Somali, it seems he was already half-british. FTW is all-prc), with no promise of anything, wanting only to survive when they fled to UK. Sinkie FT athlete imports are different, they were not up to par in their birth country and only came here because of $$, treating it as a job and have contract demanding lodging, expenses etc covered for them. Simply put, how can one respect such traits? Does the Sinkie govt really want all sinkies to be like this? 20 years down the road, SG might not be as prosperous and with such mentality instilled in the younger generation, all will flee and not stay to fight or build/ rebuild SG, as PAP advocates that it is all right to leave your roots and go other countries where the money is, nvm patriotism.
