you can be on the floor front or back and still fight by grappling and twisting opponent limbs or choking the opponent without a count-out. a knock out of loser or a tap out by loser will signal to referee to end the match. opponents on top can still lose by submission to an opponent below capable of incapacitating limbs and head or neck. bjj or brazilian jiujitsu is the art for that. combined with a stand up art like muai thai the two are the most popular among mma pros and sexponents. these 2 combos are most popular because the world’s top champions with the most wins are sexperts in their use. results matter. all those fancy styles like shaolin, wushu, wingchun, kungfool, karate, tkd are useless and epic fails in top mma championships.
