Forget the fascination with fairness. The point is they are inept bums. Most have never worked in the real world. It's all just hot air from people who know nothing. Don't even associate yourself with them Sam. You are self made. It is an insult that such parasites exist

I am hardly self made. I was PAP and LKY's number one Por Lam Pah so that I could get grants and special treatment in order to move ahead.

A politician with sincere desire to serve the people should not expect to get salaries, perks and other fringe benefits like a honcho running a commercial enterprise.
If he is paid peanuts, he will still serve.

But our stupid ministers DO want to be serving the people - "self-serving" is their version.

All this while, they have been encouraged to live simply, dress simply, be "down-to-earth', mingle with the peasants including queueing for food, occasionally talk stupid. Unfortuntately some of them do the latter more often than planned, hence occasionally becomes regularly.

Nobody asked for her sacrifice. She should just sod off and go work some place she can be paid more .

Seemingly, some of them have been daft enough to use highfalutin' words in their speeches because their civil servant speech writers want to impress their ministers that their England very powderful. On the other hand, the ministers do not want to be seen to daft, so they just use them freely and thoughtlessly.

PM Lee got no time to check dictionary everytime, so tell these swell-headed ministers and MPs to use simple words.

Hri Kumar took it one step further and told Jean Ang to use sign language - and that made things explosive.
