Acting Manpower Minister Tan Chuan-Jin says the government will take a firm stand against companies which try to circumvent the country's labour laws.

When speaking at the event, he said : .... and we whack them." It is indeed refreshing to hear a PAP Minister talking tough to whack FT companies. We need Ministers like him to do what is right for sinkies. Bravo. Now, we wait to see how sinkies will be treated by these FT companies.

I can guarantee you that it will never happen, coming from a scholar who believes all senior citizens at 80 years old love n enjoy to work as fun

He talk a lot la. How to whack them if they have the blessing from EDB to leech and benefit from the systems ? If he whack these company real hard, all the MNC manager will petition to have him remove from MOM. Talk tough no use. You must have the means ( substance ) to be tough.
