SINGAPORE: The Committee of Supply (COS) debate continues on Apr 7 (Thursday) with the Foreign Affairs and Defence ministries expanding on their Budget estimates for FY2016.
The Committee of Supply - which consists of the whole Parliament - considers each ministry's request for funds, based on the estimates of expenditure in the Budget statement delivered by Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat on Mar 24.
Members of Parliament may propose nominal cuts of S$100 to a ministry's estimates, as a means to debate on that ministry's policies and programmes.
