An unusual advertisement appeared in the Straits Times: It offered burial plots in Melbourne, Australia. The Chinese cemetery in Melbourne, called Song He Yuan, is landscaped and decorated in “Tang dynasty” style.
The advantage of being buried at Song He Yuan is the burial plots are forever, unlike in Singapore where graves are exhumed after 15 years to make space for more burials.

In S'pore, when you're alive, you live in HDB. And, when you're dead, you also live in "HDB".

I know this Singaporean who move the ancestor's tablets to a Perth temple. A lot cheaper to maintain than in Singapore.
